Time Out says

Greyhounds are among the best dog breeds for living in Melbourne, being patient, easygoing dogs that need a lot less exercise than you might think. But unfortunately, 9,000 of these dogs get euthanised every year.

To encourage people to adopt more greys, rescue organisation Gumtree Greys is hosting its tenth annual Greyhound Walk, with hundreds of greyhounds expected to take over the Royal Botanic Gardens. The walk is a part of a global event celebrating greyhounds and promoting them as excellent pets.

You can bring your own greyhound (or any breed) or just go along and enjoy lots of pats and kisses from those in attendance.
