Gin Palace does World Gin Day

It's time to escape to Juniper Island

Time Out says

Gin Palace does World Gin Day the way us normal people celebrate New Year's. It goes all day, it goes all out, and everyone is guaranteed to have a good time. This year's theme is 'Escape to Juniper Island', so expect a gin-soaked tropical paradise with a big splash of summery energy to counteract Melbourne's brutal winter.

On Saturday June 8 from 2:30pm, the bar will be hosting their signature two-for-one Martini, Negroni and G&T specials until 7pm, and seven of the crew's fave gin producers will even be at the party in the flesh. Plus, it's free entry!

To top it all off, there'll be a selection of yummy complimentary snacks and a live DJ to get the party started. Gin Palace is known for going all out with its themes – in previous years, the bar has transformed into a candy wonderland, a Grand Budapest Hotel-themed homage and even a bougie apres-ski haven – and this year will be no exception.

Gin Palace will be getting into the spirit (ha!) of things with palm trees, bikinis, paradisical cocktails and other surprises. Local heroes like Brogan’s Way and Dutch Rules will stand alongside interstate favourites Seven Seasons, Brookies, and Prohibition, as well as international treasure Kinobi, and of course, Fever Tree tonic.

Gin Palace will remain open until 3am on the night, so strap on your drinking boots – and get ready for a slice of paradise.
