Time Out says

Food festivals are a dime a dozen, but how many of them are making a positive change in the world?

Festival21 is trying to do just that. The festival will take over North Melbourne's Meat Market for a series of talks, demonstrations and workshops. The events will cover the future of food, climate change, health and wellbeing and global health. The aim of the festival is to encourage people to think more seriously about what and how they eat, and how that affects their health, the environment and the world.

Speakers include Richard Di Natale (yes, that Richard Di Natale), food blogger Alice Zaslavsky (better known as Alice in Frames), Jonathan Pangu (of kids' food campaign Death to Nuggets), David Ritter of Greenpeace, Sarah Wilson (of I Quit Sugar, now closed) and Stephanie Alexander.

The events are free, but registrations are required for individual sessions.
