[title]Ready, set, snap! Sony is launching a brand new photography and filmmaking festival this year and everyone is invited to pick up their cameras and join the creative excitement. Whether you want to start a new hobby or level up your camera work, there are community-hosted events for all skill levels and genres. Plus, five lucky winners will win the ultimate Scene experience in Paris valued at $6,600 per person.
Entering is a breeze and you’ll score one entry for every event you book and attend during Sony’s Scene Festival, which runs from September 8 to October 31. You’ll want to start snapping away because the more events you participate in, the higher your chances of winning.
We couldn’t think of anything better than winning a week-long trip to France just for getting in touch with our creative side. Each of the five lucky winners will enjoy an immersive guided tour with two Sony Scene hosts in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The ticket includes return flights from Sydney to Paris, six nights of accommodation and daily meals.
Sony’s inaugural Scene Festival offers just a glimpse into the possibilities that lie ahead. The program is packed full of tutorials, talks from the masters and in-depth workshops, hosted across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll have the chance to connect with passionate creators, photographers and filmmakers, and truly tap into your artistic potential.
Beginners can ease into the art of content creation with introductory online photography workshops covering landscape, portrait, astrophotography, wildlife or even editing skills. All experience levels are invited to venture outdoors and engage in hands-on learning with tutorials including a Koala Conservation Reserve Photography Workshop in Rhyll, Victoria; a Whale Watching Workshop outside Sydney Harbour; a night time Astromeet in the Blue Mountains; and an online Lightroom Classic Editing Masterclass.
Scene Festival offers a range of exciting events, some of which are free to attend. You’ll need to create a Scene account to book tickets, but this will come in handy as a savvy sidekick for registering your Sony camera gear, receiving notifications about future events in your area, and managing any upcoming events. Every ticket booked through the Scene platform will automatically put you in the draw to win one of Sony’s five prized trips to Paris.
