Ever dream of travelling back in time to the heart of 19th-century Paris? The Lume's Café de Flore may just be the next best thing. Bathed in the soft lights of the digital gallery's latest exhibition Monet and Friends, the one-of-a-kind dining space offers you the perfect vantage point for viewing the famous works of French Impressionists over a plate of charcuterie and fromage or a Chandon Garden Spritz.
In case this wasn't quite romantic enough, the Lume has now announced its new Dining à Deux package. It includes a three-course dinner sitting to stirring music and evocative floating projections of the works of Monet and his peers. The experience takes place in the gallery while it's still open to the public and is one of the only opportunities in the world that marries food and art in this way.
Nestled at one of Café de Flore's intimate tables, you and a loved one can enjoy the spectacle as you luxuriate in the flavours of traditional French dishes like duck à l'orange and chocolate soufflé. Held every Friday and Saturday evening until the beginning of June, each sitting is likely to fill up fast so we'd recommend moving quickly if you know you'd like to take part in the experience. Front-row tables are sold separately and reservations are capped at 1.5 hours. Note that drinks are available for purchase separately.
You may select one of two dinner sittings on your chosen night, with each individual ticket costing $145 per person. Front-row tables are optional at the extra cost of $160 per person.
