Australian Synchrotron

The Australian Synchrotron is a world-class national research facility that uses accelerator technology to produce a powerful source of light that's a million times brighter than the sun.The facility has nine different experimental stations. The Synchrotron is not open to the public throughout the year, however they offer eductional tours for secondary and tertiary science students.
