Time Out says

Part of the 200 hectare Royal Park, the Australian Native Garden is described as the jewel in the park's crown. Designed by renowned Australian landscape architect Grace Fraser in 1977, the Australian Native Garden is at the south-eastern entrance to Royal Park. Keep an eye out for indigenous fauna and wander amongst the river red gum trees, native daisies, kangaroo paw and correas. Perfect for picnicking, bird watching and hula hooping.
