ArtVo describes itself as an immersive art gallery where guests are actively encouraged to ham it up in front of the camera lens. Every room at ArtVo features life-sized, hand-painted murals that use perspective to come alive. Want to pretend you’re tiding a giant swan? Or dashing across icebergs in the Artic? How do you fancy meeting King Kong on the side of a cliff? ArtVo’s murals put you front and centre in a bunch of wacky situations.
The "trick gallery" is fantasy themed, with each room offering a different experience as you wander, self-guided, through the many rooms. For the images to look realistic on your phone you’ll need to get the perspective right. Luckily ArtVo has stickers in front of every mural telling you exactly where to stand and how best to take your shot. Our tip? Go with a friend, so you can take photos of each other.
ArtVo is easily accessed from the city; it's within the free tram zone so catch the city circle, route 70 or 86 and get dropped right on its doorstep. ArtVo is also wheelchair accessible.
