Malthouse Theatre will be dishing out a program that puts left-of-centre culture at the forefront, where characters bring politics and passion to life on the stage. A mix of staged cinematic classics and groundbreaking new works make up the backbone of next year's season, with single tickets on sale now.
Season highlights include an adaptation of Osamah Sami’s memoir Good Muslim Boy; the seminal Australian mystery Picnic at Hanging Rock (which has a limited run of just 10 shows); Melancholia adapted from Lars von Trier's 2011 film; and a new work Blackie Blackie Brown: The Traditional Owner of Death, from the talented Nakkiah Lui. Standard priced tickets range from $69 to $72 and season passes are available too.
