Built in an old fire station, the Engine Room is one of Bendigo's most diverse performance spaces. The building has two spaces: a bright upstairs dance studio filled with mirrors and a ground floor black box space with full sound and lighting facilities. During summer the Engine Room also has an outdoor courtyard.
During July the Engine Room will host Robot Song, a story about an 11-year-old girl called Juniper who finds a giant robot arm abandoned on her doorstep. After finding the rest of the robot and making it work again she has to face her biggest challenge – teaching the robot how to feel. Robot Song is on from Wednesday July 11 to Thursday July 19. All tickets are $16.
