The old adage that behind every good man is a good woman has never been truer than in Nine, Maury Yeston’s Tony Award-winning musical about a suicidal theatre director and his relationships with the nine women who have shaped him. Based on the Federico Fellini’s semi-autobiographical film 8 ½, the musical picked up five Tony Award when it opened on Broadway in 1989, and was later made into a film starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Judi Dench and Sophia Loren. This production is directed and choreographed by Michael Ralph (The Boy from Oz, Bring It On) and stars Anthony Scundi (Ironbound, Shining City) as Guido, the womanising theatre director.
