From Pacman to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the '80s were a lot more fun. So it’s no surprise that Circus Oz is heading back there for their latest show. Neon Reboot is the second iteration of Circus Oz's 1980s spectacular, after testing the show (then called just Neon) at the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Expect wall-to-wall lycra, big hair and Flashdance references, all packed into 70 minutes of hula hooping and death-defying circus acts, and presided over by cabaret star (and David Bowie fan) Geraldine Quinn (Rockwiz, Spicks and Specks) belting out the '80s classics. If you saw it in 2019 by all means come again – the rebooted production features new acrobats, new acts (including hoop diving and foot juggling) plus even some eye-popping magic tricks.
Last year the show was for adults only, but in 2020 the show will be suitable for those aged 15 years and older.
