One of Melbourne's favourite lawn bowls venues, the Fitzroy Victoria Bowls Club (commonly known as the North Fitzroy Bowls Club) is the unofficial home of barefoot bowls and pots at genuine 1980s prices.
In off-peak season (Jan-Nov) you can head along for $15 per person (groups under six) or $150 per rink (for groups six or over). In peak season (December), it's $20 per person (groups under six) or $200 per rink (for groups six or over). This price includes two hours of lawn bowls, all equipment and a bowling demonstration.
Groups can hire one of the club's private barbecue areas for $60 and either pre-order a catering package or cook their own food on the barbecues.
