Every Sunday, Melbourne's finest creative folk gather in endless stalls, arranged in line with the palm trees which stand tall on St Kilda's mighty esplanade. Since the 1970s, the market has featured emerging talent in design and handicrafts – think artwork, photography, illustration, jewellery, body products and stationary. There's now more than 140 stalls every week and best part is, the market is right next to Luna Park and St Kilda Beach, so you can make a day of it.
Check the weather forecast before you go, the market may be closed if weather conditions indicate wind speed higher than 70kph or heat higher than 45 degrees.
