Mid City Arcade welcomes this modern Japanese eatery, which takes its name from the Japanese word for alley. It's a venture from the guy behind Melbourne's own 24-hour ramen restaurant Shujinko, who with co-owners Benny Lui and Khoa Le want to focus on three key styles of Japanese cooking, being sushi/sashimi, yakitori and tempura. The 80 to 90 seat venue also has an outdoor terrace overlooking Bourke Street, where you crack open Japanese craft beers (like Kinshachi Red Miso Lager) or sip on a super premium sake.
