Time Out says

Warrnambool is perhaps best known for its proximity to Logan's Beach, a prime whale-watching spot just five kilometres from the city centre. But there is heaps more to do in this quaint town located three hours southwest of Melbourne's CBD, including dining at the Liebig, a beloved local Thai eatery.

Liebig Street is essentially Warrnambool's High Street, so it may be hard to spot the façade for this tiny restaurant among all the other retail and dining experiences. If you ask for directions, friendly locals will point you in the right direction and likely let you know that you've made a solid choice – the Liebig is well-loved in these parts.

Once you're seated, prepare to spend a fair while scanning the menu as it's loaded with more than 100 dishes to choose from. The Liebig mainly specialises in Thai food and particularly in dishes from Northern Thailand, a region best known for its milder flavours (compared to the spice-fuelled cuisine of the south) and thinner curries. You'll also find dishes inspired by Japanese, Vietnamese and Singaporean traditions, and a chalkboard above the kitchen window lists rotating specials.

Menu highlights include entreés like crispy roti served with creamy satay sauce and Peking duck pancakes served with cucumber, shallots and hoi sin sauce; mains like massaman, green, red, yellow and pineapple curries with your choice of protein; and classic noodle dishes like pad see-eww and pad Thai.
