Nothing cures a mid-week slump quite like a juicy hunk of steak and some excellent company. MPD Steak Kitchen in Caulfield knows this all too well and have unfurled a meat lovers dream - three whole nights a week dedicated to Wagyu. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the fab eatery will be hosting a chef curated menu of affordable beef dishes that doesn't scrimp on quality.
The Wagyu Nights menu designed by award-winning executive chef Chris Bonello has just the stuff to cure you of the midweek blues. Bonello has followed the steak kitchen's drive to find quality, sustainability and freshness closely with a menu that focuses on the best beef available from local farms. At Wagyu Nights expect to be delighted by dishes like slow-cooked Sher Wagyu bolar blade with Jerusalem artichokes, buttered corn, pickles and brown butter jus. Or try the 250g Sher Wagyu rump with triple-cooked chips, broccolini and béarnaise sauce or tuck in to a hearty dish of 250g King Valley scotch fillet MB9+ with triple cooked chips, grilled zucchini, pickled cucumber and béarnaise.
Get the gang together and make a night of it with matched wines and an affordable bill at the end of the night. Sommelier Marcus Radny has your drops covered with a hand selected range of more than 100 wines from local, sustainable and organic vineyards. And with dishes starting at just $39, you've got yourself a pretty refined evening that won't break the bank.
