Docklands isn't the most exciting food suburb in Melbourne, but SPQR's outpost at the District Docklands (located on Studio Lane) is not only bringing sourdough woodfire pizza to this windy pocket of Victoria, but also has a custom dough lab for you to watch chefs ferment and shape doughs for each pizza from its 17-year-old sourdough mother.
There are four red and four white pizzas on the District's menu including the classic Margherita, Pepperoni, Quattro Formaggi and Hey Pesto available in both its regular 12-inch sizes, and its new, single-serve 7-inch pizette with gluten-free and vegan cheese available for each base. Just like its Liverpool Street counterpart, there will be tinnies of beer and cocktails (Negroni and Espresso Martini) to accompany your pizzas.
