Slider Diner

It all started with the Sliders on Tyres food truck, and now owner Owen Scungio has opened a bricks and mortar venue in Sneddon for permanent access to his range of easy-to-eat burgers. Here they're not aiming for the monster burger rammed with so many ingredients you'd need to dislocate your jaw to eat it. Instead they keep it to a managable three-four, like in the slow-cooked lamb number with taramasalata and house made pickles, or a classic cheeseburger made with a ground chuck patty, American cheese, burger sauce and pickles. They make all their patties, pickles and pastry in house, and get their buns form a local bakery in Collingwood. They also have a pie of the day so that you can really lean into the Happy Days 50s diner fantasy that the pink and blue room conjures, or maybe that's just the  spiked milkshakes talking.
