Sean Connolly describes himself as a chef, motorhead, vinyl enthusiast and food slinger. These values, along with the Yorkshire-born chef’s ‘less-is-more’ attitude to food, are what make his newest restaurant different to your typical hotel restaurant. As one of Australia and New Zealand’s most-loved restaurateurs, Connolly has multiple award-winning restaurants under his belt. Now, his newest venture is a burger-lover’s paradise.
Shush Burger is a down-to-earth burger joint on level one at Courtyard by Marriott Melbourne Flagstaff Gardens. The name refers to Connolly’s signature style of burgers, made with a crafty mix of 160g of combined chuck steak, brisket and dry-aged Victorian beef. They’re local, they’re juicy and they’re served with premium accompaniments such as double red Leicester cheese and always in a potato bun.
Mouth-watering burgers are far from the only thing on the Shush Burger menu. You’ll also find creative snacks like pork belly burnt ends and chicken lollipops. Dessert could be a raspberry and lime donut burger or deep-dish apple and blackberry pie, and the cocktail menu is filled with innovative handcrafted concoctions to elevate your meal.
Shush Burger is whatever you want it to be – whether that’s weekend cocktails or a weeknight meal for the little ones from their dedicated kids menu. You can walk in, dine in, or take away, the choice is all yours.
