Everything about this modern Italian joint on Mair Street exudes playfulness, from its name meaning 'childish adult' to its salmon pink interiors and millennial pink crockery. But when it comes to the food, Ragazzone means business, with many Ballarat residents touting it as one of the city's finest eateries.
Menu offerings change frequently based on local produce and availability, but expect dishes like kingfish crudo topped with juicy slices of blood orange, frilly sprigs of fennel and herb oil; spaghetti aglio e olio with spanner crab; spinach ricotta agnolotti with pancetta, peas and hazelnut in a sage and burnt butter sauce; and a tiramisu-inspired panna cotta.
Lunch is available from noon to 2pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with diners having the option between a $65 chef's selection menu or ordering from an à la carte menu. For dinner, you can book in for a 6pm or 8pm sitting from Wednesday to Saturday and enjoy a $90pp set menu.
