New Year's Eve is almost always anticlimactic if you don't make plans well ahead of time. Avoid that fate this year and book now for a night of spectacular food, drinks and views at Victoria by Farmer's Daughters, so you can ring in 2023 in style.
Victoria by Farmer's Daughters has quickly cemented itself as an important player in the Melbourne hospitality scene since opening at Federation Square earlier this year, in large part thanks to executive chef Alejandro Saravia's take on showcasing the best produce Victoria has to offer. And for the very first time the restaurant, which sits pretty on the banks of the Yarra River, is opening its doors to a lucky few for a New Year's Eve experience to remember.
Those who secure a ticket will begin the evening with cocktails and canapés on the terrace bar, before moving onto a three-course sharing menu designed by Saravia. Without giving too much away, guests can look forward to dishes such as wood-roasted O'Connor beef scotch fillet with broccoli cream, Portland tuna with Otway shiitake and seaweed broth, and Cafresco asparagus with cheese mousse and black garlic. Head sommelier Matthew Jensen will present an exclusive beer and wine menu that will flow for four hours, accompanied by the music of a DJ spinning sounds all night long.
Bring in 2023 on a sweet note with the always-popular tarte tatin served with crème fraîche and a hint of Starward whisky, and go out with a bubble and a bang as you sip on a glass of Victorian sparkling while you watch the fireworks as the clock strikes midnight. Tickets for the New Year's Eve experience at Victoria by Farmer's Daughters is $250 per person and are on sale now.
