Time Out says

Born in 2020 by the team behind Lune, Melbourne’s famous croissanterie, Moon might only make one type of pastry – but it certainly makes it well. Crullers are crispy rings of deep-fried choux pastry that are tossed in sugar or glazed with a flavour of choice.

Moon has followed graciously in its elder sibling's footsteps, bringing a touch of New York and a whole lot of fun to Fitzroy.

Each month, Moon releases its ‘wildcards’, a new selection of innovative and mouth-watering takes on the cruller. And things are getting fun and festive this December.

From December 3, get your hands on a gingerbread cruller. Dipped in a Christmas spice-infused glaze and finished with a drizzle of royal icing, this one proves that a lil' spice is always nice.

Next, move on to the candy cane cruller, available from December 10. This sweet treat is sure to get you into the festive spirit with a chocolate and mint glaze, biscuit crumble and crunchy candy cane pieces.

Finish the year on a fresh, fruity and flavourful note with Moon's final wildcard special of the year: the pavlova. The pav crullers will be filled with whipped cream and meringue shards, topped with more cream (the more cream the merrier, right?) fresh berries, kiwi and passionfruit. These limited edition crullers are sure to go quickly, so try your best to score one for two weeks from December 17.
