Mercedes-Benz may be better known for cars and feats of German engineering, but a new Melbourne store is looking to change that. Mercedes me is Australia’s first café and creative space from the luxury car company where you can sit, grab a bite to eat, enjoy a coffee and see what Melbourne’s makers are up to.
Bringing the brews to Mercedes me is Melbourne’s coffee roaster and café, St ALi. They’ll be roasting their beans using a special coffee roaster created with patented technology and even parts that go into Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The master roasters will also be coming up with some original coffee blends inspired by Mercedes-Benz models.
At the café, you’ll be able to check out one of the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicles up close (vehicles rotate weekly) and discover Melbourne creators at the Meet the Maker space. During the day you can get an insight into the work of local watchmakers, milliners and distillers, and by night you can check out the shows covering art, design, fashion, food, sport and innovation.
The Melbourne café is the seventh Mercedes me to join the fleet, following stores in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Moscow, Beijing, Hamburg and Munich. Drop into their Collins Street store from 7am from Monday to Friday to check it out and grab a fresh brew.
