Dockland’s steakhouse Meat & Wine Co. has moved to the ‘burbs, with its second Melbourne outlet setting up shop in the heritage listed bank site at Camberwell Junction. Like the city venue, the restaurant is a haven for choice cuts of meat and internationally and locally sourced wines. The black and timber open plan interior is a surprise, considering the classic brown stone exterior, but a pleasant one. The bar is impressive, stretching across the back wall, and the open kitchen to the right, offering a kind of interaction between chefs and diners, creates a communal yet sophisticated atmosphere.
