Masizzim is a restaurant set to change perceptions of Korean food in Australia by focussing their menu on home-style meat stews, ribs and rice balls at the Glen's new dining precinct. Masizzim comes from the Korean word meaning 'delicious' and combining it with 'jjim', the word for 'stew', referring to the restaurant's specialty dish galbi jjim- a dish usually reserved for holidays and high-end restaurants due to the cost of beef. Owner, Lee Dong-Jin, uses his mother's original recipes and imported pastes alongside Australian meat to recreate the stews, savoury pancakes and rice balls from his childhood.
