The Los Latinos specialty is pupusas, the traditional Salvadorian corn tortillas usually filled with cheese (queso) pork (chicharrón) refried beans (frijoles) or a mix of cheese and beans (revueltas). All four varieties as well as more well-known dishes such as tacos, fajitas and quesadillas are available at this small but cheery Maidstone joint. Corn chips with a trio of dips – salsa roja, green tomatillo salsa, and spicy cheese sauce that reflect the colours of the Mexican flag go down well with a Pacifico beer or a radiant Inca Kola. Meat heads should try the pastel de chocolo, the Chilean hot pot with chicken, beef mince, spices and a boiled egg, topped with yellow cream corn, and you can't lose with one of the pupusas.
