Time Out says

Lanterns Viet Kitchen was established in 2019 by a group of family and friends wanting to bring the distinct and unforgettable flavours of Vietnam to the suburb of Berwick. Opening to a warm welcome from the local community, Lanterns is a home for the Vietnamese traditions of sharing a meal together as a way of bringing loved ones closer.

Head chef Tuan has a head full of authentic recipes and a strong desire to do good. In keeping with the LVK ethos of community, Tuan works with youth programs and the NDIS to educate young adults and create employment opportunities for them.

In terms of his skills in the kitchen, Tuan expertly and passionately nails simple Vietnamese classics such as banh mi, freshly rolled rice paper rolls or traditional clay pot.

The Lanterns story is twofold: a fresh and authentic taste of Vietnam and a place of community and philanthropy. Dine in and do good – chúc ngon ming (Bon appetite).
