Lafayette Fine Foods made their name at their original venue in Brighton. Founded by chef Susan McKay and her partner Michelle Sievwright, Lafayette's Toorak venue offers the take-home meals the eatery has become known for, and also doubles as a café for diners who want to eat it.
Lafayette's focus is on premium ready-made meals for catering, home delivery, and takeaway. The eatery also makes all of its preserves, cakes, pastries and nibbles in house, and customers have the option of putting gift bags and hampers together with the cafés homemade treats.
