Chef Mischa Tropp of We are Kerala briefly completed a stint at Pope Joan's dishing up Delhi-inspired butter chicken and it was so successful that he's decided to stick around for a while longer. Welcome to Elsie's Butter Chicken, a butter chicken pop-up affectionately named after Tropp's grandmother.
Available for pick up or delivery, Elsie's Butter Chicken serves up butter chicken (or paneer for a vegetarian alternative) that comes with dal makhani, naan, pickled onion, raita and saffron-and-cumin rice.
Each serve is priced at $30 per person and is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday via pre-order, with the option of pick-up or $15 direct delivery to local suburbs within a 15km radius of Melbourne's CBD. Order here.
