Figo is the sort of place that does a few simple things, but does them well. The sign out the front says what they serve up: ‘Pizza-Vino-Gelati’. That’s a tough combination to beat.
This small Elwood pizzeria has become a local favourite. The in-house dining area seats 20 on small red stools and was designed by local studio Projects of Imagination, of Chin Chin and Supernormal fame.
The pizzas are round, fluffy discs of deliciousness. Figo doesn't try and overcomplicate things; the toppings are simple, traditional and tasty. If you can’t dine in then don’t fret, Figo delivers at no extra cost. Maybe order up a beer or a wine to go with your scrumptious slice.
They also have a selection of friggitoria (street food) including panino fritto (deep fried pizza dough with sides), arancini funghi (mushroom and truffle oil rice balls) and panzerotto (deep fried calzone).
