This month, Father’s Office – the inner-city speakeasy-style bar and restaurant – is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a host of birthday celebrations and great specials on food and drinks.
From Monday to Wednesday you can enjoy $15 lunch specials including a double fried chicken burger or black Angus rump steak with a schooner of house beer, cider or wine.
Every day they will be shaking up $14 Martinis (espresso, vanilla, dry and filthy), $20 jugs of James Squire 150 Lashes and $59 bottles of GH Mumm Cordon Rouge. There will also be discounts on the three-course set menu ($42pp all month), which includes mozzarella arancini, buffalo wings, pan seared salmon and salted caramel and popcorn panna cotta.
On Friday September 8 the entire bar will transform into a birthday arena, with happy hour from 5-7pm and 8-10pm, plus DJ Bratislav will be spinning tunes and burlesque dancer Miss Sina King will be putting on a free performance from 8pm.
