To quote Mr T, “I pity the fool” – or any vegetarian walking through the doors of El Gaucho. For despite a few modest salads, the Argentinean asado or 'barbecue house' is a meat lover’s paradise. The asado completo is all you can eat cow and features various cuts – from racks of ribs, morcilla (black pudding), brisket and chorizo sausage all marinated in hot/sweet chimichurri sauce. Sangria and decent Spanish Malbec is on hand to help you wash the bovine down. Service has known to be as slow as your gait upon exit.
