Both the Duke and Dutchess will be hosting lavish festive lunches on Christmas Day. What does this mean for you? No cooking, less stress and more time to relax with your family and friends.
Downstairs at the Duke, it's all about enjoying a feast of gussied up pub classics. Start with Grey Goose cured salmon gravlax with crème fraiche, salmon roe and a Dijon dressing; salt and pepper calamari with lemon mayo; or a caramelised onion tart with rocket, goats curd and aged balsamic vinegar. Mains include the Duke's much-loved chicken parma; pork and fennel chipolatas with sage mash and cranberry jus; or pan-fried potato gnocchi with sauce bourdain, roasted eggplant, fresh ricotta and toasted pine nuts. For dessert you'll enjoy festive favourites like steamed Christmas pudding with brandy custard and red currants or a classic summery passionfruit pavlova.
Upstairs Dutchess will host a three-course fine dining feast. Entrees include Kilpatrick style abalone with glazed champagne ham; and Mooloolaba king prawns with a Bloody Mary chaser. A juicy roast turkey breast will be the star of the meal, with all the trimmings – a feta and burnt onion Yorkshire pudding, chestnuts, bread sauce, broccolini and jus. There will be sides and salads, and of course, Christmas pudding and eggnog to finish.
