Melburnians are really serious about three things: breakfast, coffee and their dogs. But what about breakfast for dogs? Chez Misty in St Kilda does just that and touts itself as a cafe where dogs and humans can hang out and eat together.
The cafe is owned by dog trainer Marc and his partner Cherry, who has experience as a dog nutritionist. And if you haven't guessed yet, the cafe's namesake is their adorable dog Misty.
The space features a backyard area with couches for dogs and an indoor off-leash relaxing room where your furry friend can easily befriend other patrons. Flick through a human menu for yourself, which features a variety of galettes and crêpes, and a dog menu filled with healthy and gluten-free crêpes for Fido.
On top of the food menu, there are a few extra services on offer. You can book in for dog training and behavioural consultations by Marc, nutrition and naturopathy consultations, dog walking and much more to come. There's also a showroom where visitors can shop high-quality and styled equipment, apparel and dog cosmetics for their beloved pooches.
Keep an eye on the Chez Misty website to hear about future events, including dog yoga and dog-human stand-up paddle board sessions. If you're a dog lover but not a dog owner, don't fret: you're still more than welcome to come and enjoy a sweet or savoury crêpe.
