Time Out says

**Dad joke alert** Owner Harley Anderson came up with the moniker for his Hampton restaurant from the quip “can you canoe?”. Get it? The locals seem to; they’ve been coming in a steady stream since it opened.

Canoe Canoe’s menu was put together by Ben McMenamin, who’s spent time in the kitchens of Supernormal and Cumulus. It stretches from burgers to pumpkin gnocchi with roasted squash, pine nuts and salted ricotta. There's a house-made chicken schnitzel with spiced tomato relish and few kids options for under a tenner too.

The indoor space backs onto a huge mural-lined beer garden where you can nurse a drink over a game or two of Connect 4, hookey or quoits.
