Issus's bustling laneway location helps to make up for the hit and miss service at this busy café on Centre Place. The extensive menu has a Middle Eastern focus and ranges from breakfast, brunch, daily soups and salads, to heartier choices like lamb meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, topped with eggs and served in a cast-iron dish with a side of crispy za'atar sprinkled pita bread. Unfortunately, it seems to be all about quantity over quality here and the generous servings generally lack any finesse or depth of flavour.
