Neil Perry may be best known as a fine-dining chef with a penchant for regional Chinese fare, but his burger empire is on the rise and expanding a little further on Friday, with the opening of Perry’s tenth Burger Project, this time at Melbourne Central. It’s the third Burger Project in Melbourne, and the second in the CBD, and will follow the same winning formula of his other outlets, with grass-fed beef and free-range chicken taking centre stage for meat eaters, and a confit mushroom option for veggos. For a sweet finish, a range of house-churned soft-serve and fancy shakes will be available. The latest outlet is something of a burger behemoth, too, spread over two levels with enough room to fit 100 fans of Perry’s buns.
