Time Out says

PSA: toastie heaven exists, and we've found it in Richmond. The crew behind Black Gold – a local neighbourhood café on Lennox Street – have been serving up slabs of carby goodness for years now, and we're totally obsessed with their sangas.

All the classic combos are on the menu; think tuna melts, mushroom truffle, caprese and a mouthwatering Reuben. They're toasted to crispy perfection, with just the right amount of ooey-gooey cheese oozing out from within. Yep, we're hungry at the thought of them.

But Black Gold isn't just a toastie joint. You can also get all your favourite brekky dishes here – including fritters, chilli scramble, pancakes and more. Plus, the coffee is by the legends at ONA, so you know you're in for a cracking cup of Joe.

With plenty of outdoor seating (sunny Sunday brunch sesh, anyone?) and walk-ins welcome, there's no excuse not to pay this cute café a visit. Find out more via Black Gold's Instagram.
