Time Out says

Elsternwick’s favourite Eastern European bakery likes to kick it old-school, deftly side stepping the trend for fluorescent macarons and forging onwards with strudels, weighty boiled bagels, and unappetisingly named, yet delicious kugelhophs. The crown shaped yeast cake marbled with thick veins of melted chocolate is one hefty snack – they’re priced by weight, and could kill if used as a projectile. There are a few tables dotted about if you want to bunker down with a slice of sticky strudel filled with poppyseed, raisin and honey paste, but most customers admit to stocking up on Danish pastries and breads and trying to pass the just-rustic-enough baked goods off as their own.
