A 2,000-square-metre rooftop farm and eatery is open at Burwood Brickworks in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Acre Farm and Eatery is run by the Sydney crew behind Acre Eatery, a farm-to-table restaurant that has been running since 2016. The rooftop venue includes a casual café and takeaway outlet as well as a farm-to-table full-service restaurant that’s centred around a seasonal menu with a goal is to get people connected with the food they eat. Visitors will be able to interact with the urban farm through ventures including workshops, cooking classes, farm tours, pickling and preserving days, produce swaps, market stalls and interactive activities like beehives, composting, butterfly and flower gardens, hen houses and more.
