If you’re gluten intolerant or sensitive, you’ve probably found Italian restaurants can be some of the most difficult places to dine, which is why A25 Pizzeria is focused on delivering pizze that are 100 per cent gluten-free. Often pizzerias will have difficulty making this guarantee (the risk of cross-contamination is high), but A25 has been accredited by Coeliac Australia to ensure GF-friends need not worry. Vegans can also rejoice, with several plant-based options on the menu. Traditionalists can also get bases made with a flour-based dough, which has been leavened over 36 hours. The go-to pizza is the bunga bunga, with Italian pork sausage, porcini mushrooms, tomato sugo, fior di latte, parsley and grated parmesan; or for lovers of pizza’s most divisive topping, try the porkypine with grilled fresh cut pineapple, double smoked leg ham, caramelised onion, tomato sugo, fior di latte, provolone and cracked pepper. You’ll also find a wagyu lasagne, Caprese salad and Bolognese arancini balls on the menu. There is dairy-free coconut gelato, or the very-dairy fior di latte ice cream affogato. The CBD outpost (they have three locations) also serves as a café on weekdays pumping espressi and serving lunch.
