After a hair-raiser of an evening? Well, one of the city's spookiest haunts, the Old Melbourne Gaol is hosting a techno rave. Yes, you read that right. A rave.
Once home to some of Melbourne's most dangerous criminals in the mid-1800s, the Old Melbourne Gaol oversaw 133 hangings between 1842 and 1929, including that of the infamous bushranger Ned Kelly.
In an eerie turn of events almost a century later, the Old Melbourne Gaol’s dark corridors will become a dancefloor for a rave hosted by Eat the Beat, illuminated with light shows and soundtracked with a line-up of techno (special guests TBC).
On November 6, from 4pm until 11pm, head to the former jail on 377 Russell St to party with the poltergeists. Tickets for Rave in the Cells are extremely limited. You can register now for presale here, and general tickets are released on September 26 at 12am.
