If happy snaps are what you're after, Victoria certainly has you covered. We've got every kind of photo backdrop you could desire, from beautiful coastlines to stunning mountain landscapes, or picturesque countryside to fair dinkum bushland. But in comparison to the rest of Australia, it's certainly a stiff competition for the spots that are the most 'gram-worthy. Our vast country has so many beautiful sights – and two Victorian spots have been granted the title of one of the most Instagrammable locations around.

The rankings came off the back of an analysis of Instagram hashtags for 25 popular locations across Australia by data analysers at NZCasinoClub. The 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road came in at number seven on the list, with St Kilda Beach following at number 8. That's two spots in Victoria in the top ten – we love to see it.

The 12 Apostles is a classic landmark that draws in crowds from far and wide, armed with cameras and selfie sticks. The famed limestone stacks continue to attract and amaze visitors, despite four of the 12 formations succumbing to the elements over the years. Luckily, it's getting a huge makeover soon, so visiting the spot will be a better experience and even more 'grammable, if that's even possible.

St Kilda Beach is arguably one of the most popular spots for tourist in Melbourne, and for good reason. It's a social hub, with beach sports, seaside dining and plenty of watering holes (not for swimming, the other kind). Not to mention, the sunset from the beloved pier is simply stunning.

Topping the list of the Insta-worthy locations was Bondi Beach, followed by the Sydney Opera House and the Great Barrier Reef. You can see the full list of Australia’s top 25 most Instagrammable locations below, which were ranked according to the number of public posts that featured each hashtag on the social media platform.
