Melbourne’s laneways come to life in this playful hand-drawn map by UK illustrator Jenni Sparks. The intricate map does away with tourist traps and truly captures the spirit of Melbourne, highlighting famous landmarks as well as local hot spots.
The map will be a perfect addition on any wall that needs a bit of upgrading. Sparks’ extensive visual research and months of drawing have resulted in a brilliant rendering of Melbourne’s local architecture, graffiti, typography and street food on paper.

Sparks has previously captured Sydney, New York, Paris, San Francisco, London and Berlin in her humorous style, and now she has spent over 1,000 hours detailing everything fun happening in Melbourne. All of Melbourne’s central areas are featured on the map – from Princes Hill to Yarraville to Southbank – so it’s an art piece that can also be used as a reference to travel around the city.
