You wouldn't expect a huge music festival featuring a swag of the country's hottest musical talents to be completely free, right? When it's the St Kilda Festival, that's exactly what you get. Back for its 38th year, Australia's largest free music festival will feature more than 60 acts over seven stages on Sunday February 11. Organisers are expecting approximately 400,000 music-lovers to descend on the seaside suburb on the day – and given the quality of the line-up, we're not surprised.

So let's cut to the chase. The main stage will feature Sydney rockers The Jezabels, Melbourne's own Dan Sultan, local legends Models, powerhouse singer-songwriter and rapper Tkay Maidza and much-loved singer-songwriter Mia Dyson. Super danceable Caribbean beats will come courtesy of seven-piece Melbourne ensemble Bustamento, and taking out the night will be a DJ set from Architecture in Helsinki.

And that's just the main stage. More highlights include Electric Fields, Mallrat, Paces, The Bennies, Benny Walker, Jess Locke and Japanese Wallpaper. Make sure you hit up the New Music Stage for some fresh talent; we've got our money on Arnhem Land rapper Baker Boy as a highlight of the day.
