Gelato aficionados Piccolina have teamed up with gin connoisseurs Four Pillars Gin to give the humble granita a boozy makeover.

The duo has taken the Italian shaved ice dessert and upped the ante by spiking it with the Victorian craft gin. You can sample three different flavours. There's the Southside Granita, a zesty twist on the citrusy cocktail that instead features Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin and fresh lime. The Singapore Sling Granita includes notes of pineapple and lime, pomegranate juice in way of cherry liqueur and a dash of Cointreau plus Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin. Finally, the Negroni Granita stars classic Negroni ingredients like Campari, sweet vermouth and Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin plus a squeeze of fresh orange juice to resemble the classic orange peel garnish.

The granitas will be priced at $10 per cup. Each cup is equivalent to one standard drink. The granitas will be served exclusively at Piccolina’s new Swan Street venue at 85 Swan Street in Richmond from March 10 to April 7.
