Rail Projects Victoria has today revealed new renders for the five new stations being built for the Metro Tunnel.

The new stations, which were named back in November of last year, will be known as Parkville, State Library, Town Hall, Anzac and North Melbourne (not to be confused with the current North Melbourne station, which will soon be renamed West Melbourne station).

The new stations have been designed to combine functionality, space and plenty of natural light. Minister for public transport Jacinta Allan has promised that the station layouts will be easy for passengers to navigate (here’s hoping they’ve learnt their lesson from the labyrinth that is Parliament station) and will set a benchmark for architecture, sustainability and urban design.

Take a look at the designs below.

Get excited for 2025!

ICYMI Melbourne could be getting a new tram line too.

Plus, the last servo in the city is closing to make way for an apartment building.
