Update Monday, February 10: If you were lucky enough to be in the crowd on night one of Drake's Melbourne leg of the Anita Win Max Tour, you'll have seen that he gifted $45,000 to two lucky fans in the crowd. Yes, really! The two women were holding signs that caught his attention: one acknowledging his son, Adonis, and the other asking for a birthday kiss.

Across the 90-minute set, Drake performed on a floating catwalk stage that ran the entire length of Rod Laver Arena, belting out hit after hit from his vast catalogue – including God's Plan, Passionfruit and Hotline Bling. Will he give away more cash tonight? We'll just have to find out; here's everything you need to know before you go.

When is Drake's Anita Max Win Tour in Melbourne?

Due to huge demand – turns out there's a lotta Drake fans here in Melbourne – the superstar rapper will be performing a total of four shows. Drake will kick things off with a bang at Rod Laver Arena on Sunday, February 9, with three more shows on February 10, 12 and 13.

How to get to the Drake concert in Melbourne

Public transport is considered the quickest and easiest option. You can walk from Flinders Street Station (it's a ten-minute stroll via Birrarung Marr or the Tanderrum Bridge) or from Richmond Station or Jolimont Station. Tram 70, 48 and 75 also all have stops near Rod Laver Arena. Be sure to allow plenty of extra travel time in case of a disruption.

There is parking available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard), and it's highly recommended that you pre-book your spot. Bookings close at midnight the night before the event.

What time will Drake come on stage in Melbourne?

Gates will open at 6.30pm, and the Rod Laver Arena website has stated the support act will come on at 8pm followed by Drake at 9pm – but we know from the first Melbourne show that he didn't hit the stage until 9.20pm. The roughly 90-minute set should finish up around 11pm.

What can I bring to the Drake show?

There are specific rules for what you can and can’t bring to Drake’s shows in Melbourne – here are the main things to remember.

You can bring:
One bag that must be A4 size or smaller – cloaking is available via the Information Desk (Gate 4) or Show Court 3. Make sure you’ve also got your card (or digital pay on your phone) because the venue is 100 per cent cashless.

You can’t bring:
Professional cameras, audio recording devices, tripods, laser lights, illegal substances, alcohol, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades/skates, glass, cans, metal or hard plastic containers, banners larger than 1.6 metres, musical instruments and any large item that can't be placed under the seat. Smoke and vaping is also not permitted with ten metres of the external doors.

You can check the full conditions of entry here.

Are there any Drake tickets left?

As we mentioned, with demand for Drake tickets through the roof (especially given it’s his first time touring Australia since 2017) your chances of snagging one at the last minute are low. General allocation for all dates is currently exhausted, but you can have a go at looking for tickets on ticket resale platforms.
