Advent calendars are a way to get a tiny taste of Christmas every day for 25 days. But what if instead of a small piece of chocolate each day, you got something better? What if you got a bottle of wine every day?

The clever clogs at De Bortoli, the Yarra Valley's largest winery, are making the festive season very merry and bright with an advent calendar filled with piccolo bottles of wine. There will be whites, reds, rosés and a few surprises in there, for December drinking done right. You can drink them with dinner, bring them to friends or just enjoy them anytime you like, each day. We're not here to judge. Most of the bottles are being kept under wraps, but you can look forward to a bottle of Rosé Rosé, Pinot G (a pinot gris with a funky, eye-catching metallic label) and Woodfired Cabernet Sauvignon, perfect for summertime barbecues.

How do you get your mitts on one of these calendars? You can buy them for a gift or for yourself at DeBortoli's website. They cost $139, and they're sure to make December go faster.
